ABOUT THE GARDENS

The Bridgemere Show Gardens in Nantwich, Cheshire, include recreations of Gold and Silver Medal award-winning gardens from RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Hampton Court and RHS Tatton Flower Show, as well as the garden in which the 1994-1997 television series 'Gardener's Diary' was filmed.

More recently, we have added some Blue Diamond designs to our ever-growing collection of award-winning show gardens at Bridgemere. These include, the Down Memory Lane dementia garden, created in honour of the Alzheimer’s Association charity, which received a Silver Gilt medal at RHS Hampton 2021 and the Forge Garden which won a Silver Medal and the title of Best Artisan Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in the same year.

This was followed by the success of the Beautiful Abandonment Garden, which achieved a Silver Gilt medal at RHS Hampton 2022. In 2024, we refurbished the Japanese Garden and in May 2025 will unveiled the multi-award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden: The Octavia Hill Garden by Blue Diamond Garden Centres.

Bridgemere Show Gardens are designed to inspire amateur gardeners young and old. The Gardens have interest and beauty throughout the year and mix formal and informal styles to great affect. The Gardens also include a collection of rare and unusual plants, including 9 Champion Trees, important because of their age, size and historical significance.

Since September 2025, Bridgemere Show Gardens has also become the film venue for an Exclusive YouTube series, namely; 'Step by Step Gardening with David Domoney at Blue Diamond's Bridgemere Show Gardens'

Bridgemere Show Gardens are non-profit making, and every penny goes towards the Gardens' upkeep.

SEASON BY SEASON

Bridgemere Show Gardens can be enjoyed all year round. In spring the gardens are a mass of colour blossoming with crocus, snowdrops, daffodils and tulips, and the borders are packed tightly with spectacular colour from the rhododendrons and azaleas. In summer herbaceous perennials such as iris, peonies and delphinium delight the senses and the formal beds are brimming with colour from the dahlias. In the autumn the colours of the maples are simply glorious and, in the winter, enjoy a frosty walk to admire the topiary of our Tatton Garden and the scented fragrance of the daphnes and witch hazels. Bridgemere Show Gardens is the perfect, all-year round, place to visit!

In spring, the gardens are a mass of colour, blossoming with snowdrops, daffodils, including heritage daffodil varieties. In the woodland areas we have over 120 varieties of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias. But the real showstoppers are our displays of tulips. We plant over 20,000 bulbs which burst into bloom in the springtime, a real treat for the senses!

In summer, herbaceous perennials such as iris, peonies and delphinium delight and the formal beds are brimming with colour from the dahlias.

In autumn, the acers and maples put on a vibrant display with their beautiful foliage, graceful habits and autumn colours. The woodland borders are dotted with colchicums, commonly known as Autumn Crocus, for added colour and seasonal interest.

In winter, the Gardens are filled with drifts of snowdrops, hellebores along with the intense fragrance of daphnes and viburnums. A frosty walk to admire the topiary of our Victorian Garden is also a must!
